The death toll continues to climb after a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake shook large parts of Myanmar and Thailand on Friday, March 28.
More than 1,700 people had been confirmed dead across Myanmar, with thousands more injured and many still unaccounted for. This disaster hits incredibly close to home for us. Bangkok is our regional hub in Southeast Asia where several of our team members are based, all of whom are safe.
Our thoughts are with our neighbors in Myanmar and those affected here in Bangkok. With rescue efforts in Myanmar ongoing, Planet Water Foundation is finalizing plans to send water filtration systems into Myanmar to provide emergency access to safe drinking water to survivors who have been impacted by the devastating earthquake.Your donations are essential in enabling us to respond quickly, and to supporting the immediate needs of those affected.
